2006 Alumni Sing

Welcome!

Welcome to the website of the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum Foundation, the alumni organization of Harvard University's premier mixed choir. HRCMF is committed to supporting high-quality mixed choral music at Harvard. To that end, we provide financial and adminstrative support to HRCM and the other Holden choirs, the Harvard Glee Club and the Radcliffe Choral Society. We also serve as a resource and network for our alumni community around the world.

2009-2010 Concert Season
The HRCM season kicked off with a joint concert with RCS featuring many fabulous motets, including Rheinberger's Abendlied, Sametz's Munus, and Josquin's Sanctus from Missa Gaudeamus. In the spring HRCM will perform works of Haydn and Monteverdi, and will close the season with a joint performance with HGC and RCS on Arts First weekend -- Jim's final concert at Harvard! -- featuring music by Schutz and the premiere of a commissioned work by noted American composer Robert Kyr.

Marvin Retirement and DCA Search
As you probably know, our beloved Jim Marvin will retire as Director of Choral Activities at the end of the 2009-2010 school year (sniffle). The search for a new DCA has just launched. The students and the foundations will be a part of the search committee and will have a vital role in the process. If you have questions about the search, please contact HRCMF's liaison to the committee, Emily (Wood) Mitchell '97.

Save the Date!
HRCMF will join with the other foundations to celebrate Jim's work and legacy at a gala weekend April 30 through May 2. Watch your mailbox, your email, our Facebook site, and this website for more information as soon as it becomes available.

FY10 Has Begun
HRCMF's fiscal year begins on September 1. Please consider a gift of support to the Foundation, so we can continue to provide financial and managerial assistance to the Collegium, as stewards of the great tradition of choral music at Harvard.
